I, Latrell Middleton, would like to sincerely apologize to the public, to animal lovers, to the fans of Progresso FC, and to the wider football community for my actions during Saturday night’s match.

I deeply regret what happened. My actions were wrong and do not reflect who I am as a person or the values I stand for. I understand that there is no excuse for harming an animal, and I want to make it absolutely clear that I do not support or condone animal cruelty in any form.

In the heat of the moment, I made a decision that I now truly regret. Seeing the reaction from the public has made me reflect deeply, and I take full responsibility for my behavior. I am committed to learning from this incident and ensuring that it never happens again.

I apologize to my teammates, my club Progresso FC, the match officials, and the fans who look up to me. I also apologize to anyone who was hurt, disappointed, or offended by my actions.

I pledge to conduct myself with greater awareness, discipline, and respect, both on and off the field.

Once again, I am truly sorry.

First and foremost, Progresso FC deeply regrets what occurred and offers a sincere apology to the public. As a club, we do not condone animal cruelty in any form. The actions seen in the footage do not reflect the values, principles, or standards that Progresso FC stands for. We firmly believe in sportsmanship, respect, and responsibility, both on and off the field, and we respect all living beings.

We acknowledge the red card issued by the match officials and understand that the incident is currently under review by the relevant authorities.
